Tawhid is the oneness of Allah. Worship is directed to Allah alone. The articles of faith and the pillars of Islam are how that belief is stated and lived.
The idea
Tawhid means Allah is one, with no partner. The result for worship is that prayer, sacrifice and asking for help in worship go to Allah alone. The articles of faith are Allah, the angels, the books, the messengers, the Last Day, and the decree. The pillars of Islam are the declaration of faith, prayer, zakat, fasting and the pilgrimage. Know what each pillar asks of a person. The declaration is the statement of faith. Prayer is the set daily worship. Zakat is the obligatory giving. Fasting is the fast of Ramadan. The pilgrimage is the journey to Makkah required of a person who is able.
The syllabus also asks how this oneness differs from the Christian teaching of the Trinity. State the Islamic teaching clearly: Allah is one, and worship is for Allah alone. Do not mock another faith. Christian Religious Studies is a different paper. A ruling in Fiqh, the practice of the law, should be tied to the teaching it comes from. A slogan such as Muslims are good, with no pillar and no article, is not yet an answer.
