WAEC Ghana publishes the BECE timetable. GLearn is exam prep. It does not set a date, hold a centre list, or replace the file on the WAEC site. If a date on this page and the file ever disagree, follow the file.
Where WAEC publishes it
- Open the official timetable page at waecgh.org/timetable. That is the list of files. A photo in a chat is not the timetable.
- Choose the BECE file for your year. School candidates and private candidates can share one BECE file. The 2026 file is labelled for both.
- Read the notes under the grid. They say which papers are one sitting, and what to do if the question paper prints a different length of time.
- Your centre is not on that file. A school candidate gets it from the school. A private candidate gets it on the admission notice after registration.

Source: The West African Examinations Council, Accra, February 2026. Open the 2026 BECE final timetable (PDF). You sit the subjects you are entered for. French, Arabic and Ghanaian Language are for candidates offering them.
- Both papers for each subject are taken at one sitting, with no break.
- If the length of time on the question paper is not the length on the timetable, follow the question paper.
- Candidates with a visual or hearing impairment are allowed an additional 50 percent of the time. Tell the centre before the paper. The file for a later year carries its own note.
The next sitting
A 2027 BECE timetable was not on waecgh.org/timetable when this page was written. Do not reuse the May 2026 dates for a later year.
The BECE school page still says the examination is conducted in June each year. The 2026 file is in May. When that sentence and the timetable file disagree, follow the file.
Build a revision plan around the timetable
- Before the file is out, practise the subjects you are registered for. English Language, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies are on every BECE.
- When the file is out, copy only your papers, in date order. A subject you do not offer is not your paper.
- Give the soonest paper the largest share of this week. Keep a shorter pass over the papers that come later, so a gap is not a cold start.
- On the 2026 file the essay comes first and the objective follows, in the same sitting. Practise both, in that order, with a clock.
- The day before a paper, review work you have already done. Do not open a topic you have never studied.
- If a date is not on waecgh.org, it is not the timetable. Check the file again the morning of a paper, in case WAEC replaced it.
Exam day
- Be at the centre before the start the official file gives. The school, or the admission notice, tells you where that centre is.
- Do not plan a break between the essay and the objective unless the invigilator says so. The 2026 note says one sitting.
- Follow the rules the invigilator reads. Read the timetable before you leave home, so you are not depending on a phone inside the hall.
- After the exam, results and school placement are separate steps. WAEC releases the result. CSSPS places candidates.
Practise before the dates
The timetable tells you when. Practice is what you can do before that morning. On GLearn, Kevin marks the answer and explains why.
